Subject: Sea levels are rising -
This module will look at the evidence that sea levels have changed in the past, and will give students a sense of scale with regards to how sea levels may rise in the future.
The second part of the module will look to the consequences of this sea level rise. How will it effect local communities and ecosystems?

Contaminated Land
Duration: 1 Day -
Subject: How does land contamination effect the environment? We will visit a number
of former mining locations to see the effects of high levels of contaminants in the
ground. -
How has nature adapted to cope with these environments? Participants are challeneged to produce their own plan to deal with the problems of land contamination in Cornwall.

Water Resources
Duration: 1 Day -
Subject: It is widely accepted that water supplies will be a huge challenge facing communities in the future.
We look at how Cornwall sources it's water at the moment. How will the challenges be met in the future?
This module is easily combined with a case study of the environmental effects of building a new dam.

Natural Resources
Duration: 1 Day -
Subject: Cornwall is rich in natural resources. How have Cornish resources played
a part in peoples day-
From the everyday items you use like the paper you write on and your bathrrom suite, to the worktops in your kitchen and even world famous landmarks including Tower Bridge.
All contain Cornish products -

Ecosystems
Duration: 1 Day -
Subject: What are the different types of ecosystem present in the County?
We look at some of the different types of environment; Rivers, Coasts, Moorland, Mine Sites, Towns and Forests.
What are the charichteristics of each environment and what have the organisms that live there done to adapt to their environment?
